Getting Here

From Belize City: 3.5–4 hour drive south via the Southern Highway.

By air: Daily flights from Philip Goldson International to Punta Gorda Municipal Airstrip.

By bus: James Bus Line operates daily service from Belize City to Punta Gorda.

Visits to Maya villages and communities require prior arrangement through our offices. Please contact us to coordinate community visits respectfully and in accordance with community protocols.

Yes — we welcome ethical research partnerships that are community-driven and benefit Maya communities directly. All research must be approved by the relevant community leadership and conducted in accordance with Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) principles. Contact us to begin the conversation.
Community visits are welcomed when arranged respectfully through proper channels. Please contact our offices in advance so we can coordinate with the relevant community Alcalde and ensure visits align with community protocols and schedules.
Key legal documents, including the 2015 Caribbean Court of Justice ruling affirming Maya land rights, are available in our Publications section. For specific documents not listed, please contact us directly.
We gratefully accept donations that support our land rights, environmental, and community development programmes. Please use the contact form selecting Donations & Funding and our team will provide bank details and any required documentation for your records.
We accept skilled volunteers and interns on a case-by-case basis, with a preference for individuals who bring specific expertise (legal, communications, GIS mapping, language) and are committed to a minimum engagement period. Please apply through the contact form.
